It’s your everything-that-happened-in-Season-4 overview (well, kind of). We’ll talk about major characters, intense fights, and jaw-dropping cliffhangers. We’ll honor the talented voice actors who voiced our favorite demon slayers. The cherry on top? We’ll talk about possible future adventures for Tanjiro and company! Have your popcorn (or Konpeito, your call), and let’s jump in!
The Story that unfolded in Season 4 of Demon Slayer (Sorry for Spoilers, oops..)
The chapter of, Season 4, rolls in straight after the Entertainment District Arc. You’ll find Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, looking no worse for wear, they’re pretty beat up. Their next big mission? Tanjiro needs a new sword after his faithful Nichirin blade couldn’t be fixed by Hotaru, the swordsmith.
So, they set off for the Swordsmith Village, a secret place where specialized smiths make weapons just for Demon Slayers. Arriving there, they come across new faces including the weird swordsmith Haganezuka and the cute but mighty village chief, Kozo Kanamori.
However, peace usually signals a hidden demon. This season shows two top-tier demons into the mix. You’ve got Gyokko (Upper Rank Four), the flashy Upper-Rank demon, alongside his ally, the quiet and lethal Upper Rank Five, Hantengu.
These guys are a whole different kind of trouble for Tanjiro and his team. The ensuing battle is tough and really tests their abilities and resolve. We get to witness amazing sword fights, newfound breathing skills, and even Nezuko showing off her demon-battling powers (and yes, she keeps her cute bamboo muzzle on!).
The fights are intense and pack an emotional punch. Among it all, we see Tanjiro’s determination to safeguard his sister, Zenitsu overcoming his fear, and Inosuke’s grit shining brightly.
Season 4 Demon Slayer isn’t only about intense fights, though. There are some heartwarming character growth moments. Associated with the expert swordsmiths, Tanjiro sharpens his sword skills and creates a brand-new Nichirin blade (here’s a clue: it’s black!). We also found about Nezuko’s unique sun tolerance, which might just be the key to beating demonism.
As Season 4 Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc wraps, the pressure mounts. The Demon Slayers have hardened, but Muzan and his Upper Ranks are a bigger threat than ever before. As it ends on a big suspense note, it promises the way for an anticipated final face-off in the upcoming seasons.

Will there be a Season 5 of Demon Slayer or a Trilogy of movies? (& expected release date)
Get ready, Demon Slayer fans! There’s a new turn in the anime’s future. Instead of the expected Season 5, they’re making a Demon Slayer movie trilogy to tell the next part of the tale.
That means we’re going to see the exciting Infinity Castle Arc, spread over chapters 140 to 183 of the manga, on the big screen! It’s expected to be larger than life and full of action.
Unfortunately, the release date for the first movie is still up in the air. Creating a Demon Slayer movie takes time and resources (remember those awesome animations?), so we might have to be patient. Some think it could arrive around 2025 or 2026.
Waiting is hard, but there’s a silver lining. The movie trilogy might offer even better animation and a grand cinema experience. It also keeps the story buzzing and builds excitement for Demon Slayer’s grand finale!
While we wait, we can look back at Seasons 1-4 and enjoy the adventures of Tanjiro and his friends. Who knows, we might hear more about the movie trilogy soon! To not leave you hanging, here’s a cool official trailer by Crunchyroll showcasing the best bits from Season 4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EAAUmEQZA8.
