What the Community (and I) Are Begging For
The best part of waiting for a sequel is dreaming up what it could be, and the fan community has not been shy. The number one thing I see everywhere, on every Reddit thread and YouTube comment section, is the desire for a direct continuation. We want to take our custom character into Year 6. We’ve already spent 50+ hours building their story and their friendships. This is our story, our legacy, and we need to see it through. What happens with Sebastian Sallow after that intense ending? Does Ominis Gaunt find peace? We need answers!

Look, I love this world, and I’m going to play the sequel no matter what. But if I were to write a letter to Avalanche, there are a few things I’d ask for. My biggest hope is for a story with choices that actually matter. In the first game, using Unforgivable Curses didn’t really have any consequences. I want my decisions to have real weight. What if siding with Sebastian on his dark path actually had a major impact on your relationships with other students or even the ending of the game? That would make replaying it so much more rewarding.

- And for the love of Merlin, please give us Quidditch! Flying was one of the best parts of the game, a true highlight. To be able to take that amazing mechanic and turn it into a full sports league where you can join your House team, play a full season, and win the Quidditch Cup? That would be the ultimate addition and would add dozens of hours of fun.
Waiting for more news is going to be tough, but the speculation is half the fun. There’s no official date on the calendar yet, but the buzz in the community is impossible to ignore. Whether that acceptance letter arrives in 2026 or 2027, I know one thing for sure: we’ll all be ready to go home.
